Mammouth Hot Springs
Entering from the East Gate is amazing. First we drove through 50 miles of picturesque scenery then we got to the park. The park is easy to navigate with its many greeters and clearly marked roads. We first saw a small herd of buffalo and large white pelicans on the lake. We smelled the smells, experienced the colors of the pools and guisers. We sat and visited with other guests to Yellowstone as we waited for Old Faithful to errupt. Our path through the park took us from east to west and exiting at the North Gate (the only entrance opened year round). The day was mildly warm about 70 degrees with a slight breeze. The sun shone brightly and the flowers were brilliant. Yellowstone was a worth while detour as we headed to Seattle.
