Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and South Dakota

There were many surprises around every turn today. Even at 5:00 in the morning Chicago traffic is challenging. After getting out of the large city travel became easy, even though we were on the road for eleven hours. Minnesota is incredibly beautiful. We came over a hill and saw a valley of farms. Each farm was perfectly manicured and their corn was about thigh high. We crossed the Mississippi River and stopped for a picture. Our final stop was in Sioux Falls, SD where we encountered a city full of sculptures to admire. We walked around and I realized art is so alive across our country as the sculptures were sent from every corner of the United States and Canada. I continue to work on my drawings when not driving and admiring all of the beauty of the states we are driving through.
