Painting from Hawaii

This is a miniature I created in Hawaii based on my favorite yellow umbrellas. I would walk down to the pier on Waikiki every morning as the beach workers set up the yellow umbrellas for the tourists.

The sailboat floated by as I was drawing the yellow umbrellas. Working on incorporating more elements from the beach in my paintings.

Irises are Blooming and That is What I am Painting

The colors of irises are amazing. My

garden has pastel blue, deep purple, and yellow. The neighborhood is full of magnificent irises also. So I am painting the lavender blue iris.

The other flower that is blooming is the rhododendron. I spent weeks painting this soft pink gorgeous flower.
